So my game takes forever to load. Close to about 10 minutes.
All my CC is merged, at least everything that can be merged.
Is there anything else I can do to make it load faster? I know it's due to all my CC, but am hoping that there is a way to speed up the loading time.

First you need a volcano and a virgin.
Then you make sure you clear your cache files. You can also clear the "featured items" which is just the thing that shows the "stuff for sale in the sims 3 store" in buy mode. I mean that's annoying anyway but you have to clear that out now and then.
Make sure you're NOT running the interactive loading screen cause that just... yeah that takes longer than Betty White's been alive.
You could always add Sims 3 as an exception to your DEP:
Those are the things I normally do.
The DEP thing makes the biggest difference generally, but the others are important as well!

Thanks Vana.
Unfortunately no Volcanoes where I live, so that is out.
I do delete the cache files before I start every game and I use the icon and not the launcher.
As for the rest I will definitely give it a try.

Oh yeah I forgot about the launcher deal but yeah that does help a bit.
My TS3 is on Steam so it launches from there. Steam is much better at launching EA games than EA is. Go figure.
If you don't have a volcano, a large body of water, preferably with things that eat people, will work just fine.

Hmm, nope. I don't live close to anything like that. We do have a river though? Maybe there is something in there? Now to find a virgin.

Less CC would work, but sometimes we want to run full CC. I'm assuming she wants to run full CC and giving her ways to keep all her CC but still make it run faster than it does. No, it will not run as fast as with very little CC, but it'll still go a bit faster. But yes you are absolutely right, less CC would help a lot!

You can use a squirrel or something I dunno.
But did you try any of that stuff? And did it help?

Jip. I'm quite paranoid about that.

Not sure if you solved this or not or what kinda of computer you have but if you are willing to spend a bit of money (or able to) you could buy an SSD. Of course it would need to have enough storage to run everything, unless you are lucky enough to have dual storage bays and then that wouldn't matter. SSDs run everything so much better than a hard drive, and faster.
Aside from that, do you have windows 10? And Twallan's Mods? My game kept glitching and lagging. So I backed up what I needed, had a friend wipe and reset the computer back to Windows 8.1, which my laptop originally came with, reinstalled everything and now it runs like a dream. I have more content in there before than I did previously, patched to the last patch, modded the crap out of it and no issues as yet, plus I've been adding more content and still no lag. Time consuming, a pain in the butt, but very worth it.
