Welcome to a fresh new cycle of In Focus. Hosted exclusively on Simmetry Design, this cycle’s theme is the famous Seven Deadly Sins. I know it’s been done before, and all credit can go to their respective owners, but I have not experienced this theme since I have been modeling, and I want to give it a whack! Let’s portray the historical and classic Seven Deadly Sins: Lust, Gluttony, Greed, Sloth, Wrath, Envy and Pride. I want this to be editorial and high fashion upfront, but relaxed and fun behind the scenes.

This cycle will be a bit different than the normal competition structure. More like an open competition, you can submit for any assignment, or all assignments. Each assignments winner will receive a custom signature for this forum!! This also means no eliminations! YAY! Because of the wide range of talented artists here, I have decided to split the entries into three classes. A beginner class, intermediate and an advanced class, I will describe them more in detail in the scoring section.

Any Gender, and ethnicity, and species can enter!

No negativity tolerated. This includes bashing yourself.

If you have a comment or concern that needs discussed privately, please do so.

Editing is always allowed, but never required!

Beginners encouraged to enter, if you need help, please ask me!

No face plastering or photo-skinning, just your lovely art and skills please!

Assignments will last last a full month each. This will give plenty of time for everyone to enter!

No extensions, unless something extreme happened.

Please have fun, take risks, and ask questions if you need help!

Because of the wide variety of member skill on this site, I have decided to split the entries into three editing classes, The beginner class, intermediate, and the advanced class. You should know what category you fall into, but I will outline the basics of each category.

Beginner-
Choose this one if you do not edit, you make your sets and backgrounds in the game.
Intermediate-
Choose this one if you are an entry level editor. Backgrounds, shading and minimal or beginner hair, objects and clothing drawing.
Advanced-
You know who you are. Always edit, skin shade, fix blemishes, draw hair, clothing, objects near or at mastery level.
If you do not know where you stand, I can place you in the correct category.

There will be a winner for each Skill Class, for each assignment, and each winner will receive a banner. Please allow some time for each banner. They will be displayed and then available for the winners to use in the ‘banners’ section.

Judges will score on the following rubric: (the same rubric for each skill class)
Creativity /10 - Is your photo creative, did you think outside the box, did you take risks?
Fashion /10 - Was your photo fashionable, does it look like you would find it in a magazine?
Quality /10 - Was your photo clean and smooth? Was there adequate lighting for the feel of the shot?
Representation /10 - Did your photo represent the given assignment’s Deadly Sin?
Requirements /10 - Each assignment will have a list of requirements, follow them.

What a smoldering round! Now that we've worked out all that energy, I think we need a snack of epic proportions. Next sin is Gluttony.

Gluttony is the overindulgence and over-consumption of anything to the point of waste. In Christianity, it is considered a sin if the excessive desire for food causes it to be withheld from the needy. Because of these scripts, gluttony can be interpreted as selfishness; essentially placing concern with one's own interests above the well-being or interests of others

The requirements are simple, Fulfill the given sin, GLUTTONY. Make it scream sinful. Be creative and think out of the box.

I really loved this entry! I thought it was very creative without being overly done. I LOVE ALL THE WOMEN, I love their outfits, and thought it was cool that you can see nipples. FREE THE NIPPLES, we can say nipples now XD… I do with that the man in the middle was looking at a woman, rather than the camera, but him in the middle of all those women, maybe there was another woman, just off camera? Maybe next time, play with the lighting, try changing the color of 1 or two carefully placed lights to create a tone for settings like this. Socal, I really love the use of multiple females, the poses you used for them are all sexual and lusty. The female styling is also great. It is editorial and would fit into a magazine, yet still is minimal and works great for lust. I feel you fell short with your male. His top isn’t very editorial styling, maybe a crisp white shirt would have worked? And I’m not really feeling his posing either. He seems disinterested in the girls, not a deliberate disinterested but like he just doesn’t lust them at all, it’s an almost childlike pose. I knocked a couple marks for quality, I feel if you had used a more tinged lighting to strengthen the ambience this photo would have screamed more lust. Perhaps a darker, redder tint? Overall good photo though, like I said I loved the females here.

This is what I hoped from you when I asked for a sexy vamp pic!! Yay! This is a primal lust and I love it. He needs these women, not for sex, but for blood, and you can feel the lust. I feel like you portrayed a side of lust no one else tried. Great Job! I love the set, overhead shots are HARD. I like that you’ve decorated your set accordingly, the alcohol was a good, the blood splatters, rose petals, I think it all came together for a great Lusty scene. It was hard to score for fashion, as everyone is nekked, but I could see this in some sort of magazine, so it would be fashionable in a sense. Nudity is fashionable! There was a bit of over blurring on the leg of the female on the left, for the hair of the female on the right, but minor. My biggest thing with this is the hand position of Lucas, I wished he had a woman in his grasp, or maybe smoking a victory cigarette? All and all, I am very hot and bothered by this pic, and it’s a good thing. (I’ve always had a thing for vamps)

Whoot, Whoot, vid! This was very well done, I don’t know what you were worried about. I love how you used your vamp. This was super creative and amazingly composed. The lust radiates from them all. I love the poses. Well done. I has no complaints.

This was a different approach to lust, yet it really worked for you! This is the ‘safest’ photo this round, but I still feel the lust. I love the look in her eye, the pose was PERFECT, the man looking at her, and it just feels like insane love. Like they truly love each other, to the point of lusting still. I love your styling here, it’s classy and glamorous, really the only thing I wish I could change is the necklace. It looks so flat and the quality is off compared to the rest of your image. But it is minor, so don’t worry. I love your setting, it feels very intimate, romantic, and I loved the slight blurring you’ve done to focus on the two models. GREAT JOB GITTE!

Gitte, this is one of my favourite photos to come out of you! I love how you represented lust. You went the usual male female together idea, however I love how they are fully clothed- very fashionably I should say- but yet I still see lust. The posing does it for me. I can see it in their faces the lust. The overall ambiance lighting is also great. Very well done.

I can’t tell you how long I’ve spent gazing lovingly at this image. It is fab. Like I said to Vid, overhead shots are hard, and I give major props to anyone who attempts and scores with one! This shot feels really romantic, and lust still, but maybe a softer side of lust, the coloring is a bit cold, but it focuses on her. Her face expression is mild, not overly sexual, but not too bland either. I love the eye contact, and I am a fan of poses that cover boobies. I don’t know why, but I feel like we need more of those around! I love her hair! You’ve done a great job at adding all your details, and I really love the thin silky cover you’ve added. I really have nothing to say other than I REALLY LOVE THIS!

Karlie, I really love this. I love the individual shot. The feeling is generally that of lust and wanting. I love how you dressed her in those red panties with the sheer fabric on top. Definitely an editorial style. The only thing I could comment on is facial expression. It falls a little blank. I would have liked to see something more lusty for it.

This was a real lust photo. LUST. When you submitted this I died. You always amaze me with your skills. The hair is perfect, beautiful, simple. I wish you could have incorporated some fashion aspect into it, but I still score you high there since I can picture this as an advert for perfume or something else. I love the lighting, its sexy, intense and was perfect for this shot. The posing, need I say more? I did see a tiny seam on the male, right above his underwear and pants line. Minor so I didn’t take much. LUST. THIS WAS LUST. Thank you for your entry and I hope you can enter more!

After reading that this is an open comp AND 2 weeks for each assignment, I am in! I want to do advanced but I don't draw hair much (if i can help it) and my clothes drawing is.....meh. I do everything else though! What do ya think?

well i dont have sims 3 installed , only sims 4 so if i join i'll be sims 4
but heres a sample , i've done backgrounds /stock before but i tend to prefer to just make something of my own creativity with the vision of it portrayed in the photo
i havn't done modeling for comps in about 2 years , i can /would do all but hair/clothes/object drawing/skin shading/ect , i feel what i do has it's own look Cool
