With Face Off coming to a close, I am itching to bring back one of my most favorite (and most successful) competitions! I loved this competition in the past and I've loved every cycle of it. This competition is a story-based competition, but it's more about being creative and fun with your assignments. I usually give each cycle of Dark Shadowz a new theme, but with this cycle, I'm bringing back the most successful theme Dark Shadowz has had - Gothic.

-------ASSIGNMENT 1: HIDDEN-------

We are going to start this competition off with a kind of assignment that may seem odd - keep your face hidden from view!

That's right, you'll be creating a creepy, eerie, gothic-like image of your model in a great setting, all the while keeping her face hidden. After that, you'll need to formulate an imaginative mini-story to go along with your image.

MINI-STORY DEFINITION (for this competition): These stories are meant to tell us a story that ties in with your image somehow. You'll want to put some thought into your idea and give us a mini-story that's at least 250 words long. Longer is great, but don't go toooooo long that it gets very hard to read. Make sure your stories tie in with your image - but they do NOT need to tie in to the next assignment. Each story/photo can be a standalone story. Grammar isn't as important if you're worried about not being a "good writer" - but too many errors can make it very difficult to understand.
